Arena Demo - Update #3
The Arena Demo has been updated with some changes and fixes. Not enough that I can say this is a 'major' update, but at least enough that I can provide any small updates as I get back to working on the main story. For now, here is what to expect.
Lobby Lag Gone
The lag that was present in the lobby should be gone now. The event that was causing it has been changed, so there shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Animated Enemies
Most of the enemies now have working animations. The only exceptions are the Vulture and Claw Bear, as they come from Destiny DC which I'm still waiting to see if they finish developing the tool for extraction and assembly. The enemies that do have functional animations now make it so you can see if they are casting or defending. This should make it easier to use William's Mimicast ability. Beyond that, enemies have their own attack artes to go with some of their animations.
Food Tag Popups
As mentioned, I programmed it so that the Food Tags display a pop-up text upon activation. I do need to tinker with it more so it lasts a bit longer, meaning I might have to use a different message plugin I have.
Arte Tuning
I've added a Burn effect to Piper's Fireball and Eruption abilities. Small chance of activating, though may change the effect rate depending on how often it happens.
Other
General stability and other fixes. Can always provide small updates to fix other things as I work.
Wrap-Up
I still want to try and get a kind of playable Prologue demo done for this year, it's just looking less likely. I will get as much done, and I'll at least put out pictures or any video clips of what is going on. Otherwise, I await any suggestions on what I can do to try and improve the gameplay, and thank you for your time.
