Arena Demo - Update #4


This is a small update mostly to fix a couple things, provide a (hopefully) temporary solution for Piper's forms, and the inclusion of an NPC that can help with in-game patching so you don't need to restart every time I update the demo.

Patch Turtlez

As mentioned in an earlier post, the Patch Turtlez (found in the left wing of the arena) exists to re-initialize your current party, return any EXP, Titles, and Artes they have, all in the event that they end up with certain artes and things they shouldn't have given how things shift in the database. You only need to use his service once, and a Switch will turn on so that he will not ask you to reset again.

Of course, when you start a fresh file, the Switch will be turned on and he will not ask you for a reset. But if you want to carry over your save file, copy the "save" folder and place it in the unzipped game folder.  I do not know if a similar folder appears in the Mac version.

Field-Use Forms

Since Piper's forms take up a turn to use (unless you have Action Plus equipped), I included Field versions of those abilities so you can activate one and she'll start the battle out in that form. I'm hoping to streamline this aspect of Piper overtime.

Boss Music Fix

I made it so that the regular battle music returns after facing the main boss of the demo. Of course, I didn't think to include it with the Patch Turtlez, so you will just need to face the Wicked Tree. Outcome doesn't matter.

Wrap-Up

Unless something else happens, any more fixes will be as a result of me working on the main story and giving the characters new abilities and artes as I progress.
