Arena Demo - Update #5/Prologue Demo - Update #3

The Arena Demo has been updated to utilize the Battle Grid system and any changes made to the Prologue Demo. The Prologue Demo has also been updated to address some issues. The changes below mostly reflect the Arena Demo, unless otherwise noted.

Titles

- The Monster Hunter titles are no longer given by the Arena Captain. Instead, they will automatically be given the same way that titles like Marathoner or Gald Hoarder happen. The captain will still let you know how many enemies each character has defeated. (Arena Demo)

- The passive skills that all titles give have been changed from the last update to use the Equip Passive State Plugin. (Arena Demo)

- Fixed a mistake where Piper's "Honorary Sister" title wasn't granted after completing Kiki's quest. In addition, a prompt will pop up to let you know that new passive skills can be learned. (Prologue Demo)

- The -proof titles for getting afflicted with certain status ailments will be disabled until I can think of a better way to implement them with the plugin, or replace/remove them. (Both Demos)

- Titles obtained for fulfilling certain conditions (defeating enemies, getting a certain amount of gald, etc), play a simple chime sound to avoid an issue where the background music won't replay. The tune will instead play when titles are obtained through quests. (Both Demos)

New Arena Rewards

- As a reward for defeating the Wicked Tree the first time, you will be rewarded with the Artes Sphere, which will increase the number of arte slots each party member has by 4, allowing more artes to be equipped at one time. This effect is exclusive to this demo and may change overtime when properly implemented in the main game.

- Increased gald reward for beating the Wicked Tree consecutively to 5000.

Skill Changes/Additions

- The Dash line of skills have been renamed to Quickness, as per suggestion. Makes better sense for a turn-based game without any real movement.

- Evade has been renamed to Fleetfoot; effect remains the same.

- Gain's effect has been changed to where you gain 5% of max health for every enemy defeated. Will eventually replace the skill with another in the Prologue Demo once more are developed, or if I retool passive skill acquisition.

- Renamed the term name "Times" into "Hits". This is to reflect how many times the arte will actually hit a single enemy, not counting crash damage.

- For the Arena Demo, Aki will have Gale already learned. You will still need to reach level 4 to learn Tiger Blade to use her Lightning Tiger Blade altered arte.

- William will now come with a new passive skill, Pow Hammer Revenge, and already learned. Physical attacks done to him will have a chance to cause a hammer to drop on the last enemy to do this.

Arte Changes

- Healing Stream now has a base recovery of 20%, has an AoE target range, and those affected by the arte will receive a 10% regen state that lasts for two turns.

- Mimicast has been revamped. It is now a single arte that will allow copying Intermediate artes at level 10 for the demo. Will change how he can copy Intermediate and Advanced artes at a later date depending on the story.

Party Member Changes

- William can now learn Healing Stream from the Wicked Spawn. Will require being level 10 to be able to copy, as Healing Stream is an Intermediate magic arte. Adjustments to when they use it will be made later on, and an indicator of them casting it will be added.

- William now learns Air Pressure at level 10. At level 7, he will learn Acid Rain. In the main game, this will be a copy move.

Other

- Adjusted Vulture's weakness to Aerial moves to 150%, matching weakness percentage with Pierce moves.

- Adjusted Cave Shark's weakness to Fire moves to 200%.

- Adjusted Jellyfish's weakness to all types of physical moves to 125%.

- Those who received the password from completing the bonus scenario in the Prologue Demo can use this here as well. Interact with the wooden gate near the Arena Attendant, after you've gotten William, and the prompt will appear.

- Fixed an oversight where characters receiving the level boost go past level 10.

- Button prompts from the Prologue Demo now appear in the Arena Demo.

Future Changes to Consider

VisuStella recently updated their plugins, one of which adds their own hit counter display. However, I'm going to wait and see if they can refine it before I make use of it since they appear to be having some technical issues at this time. Depending on how well I can understand it's functions, I might be able to incorporate it into gameplay for more than just displaying damage and hit counts. In addition, I would like to include some passive skills for William to provide additional effects when using Mimicast. I will continue to make appropriate changes and additions as needed.
