Progress Report: November 2024


Going to start labeling these reports by month and year going forth. In any event, this will be short as I am currently away at Midwest Fur Fest, as a regular attendee. I'll be leaving my little business cards around while mostly just attending like normal. So here's what's been done:

First, having finished Cambio and it's story draft, I got a chance to program some more skits into the game. I'm waiting to have art work for Piper done before I can include the skits proper. Otherwise, I am testing with proxies using duplicates of Aki's portraits renamed for Piper, so I can easily swap images when the time comes.

Second, I have come to realize that Galv's Projectile Plugin works really damn well and can save me a lot of time and space to use instead of making duplicates of the same event for each map, with some alterations to suit the map and scenario. After the con, and after I get some video projects done, I will resume going back from the start to ensure the plugin commands work. Testing has shown that I can do things like activate event switches or in this case, erase events. I already applied it to one enemy in the Dalry Forest and I was planning to alter it with properties seen in later enemies (random group composition, and a Retry feature) before going through and repopulate the forest with these changed events.

Overall, very promising stuff for me. I can't wait to see what I can do with the ring now that I can do more with the plugin.
